Biomass pellet mill principle
Biomass pellet mill is a kind of small pellets made from biomass materials (such as wood chips, straw, wheat grass, etc.) after processing and treatment, and these pellets can be used as fuels in thermal power stations, boilers, cookers, and other thermal energy equipment.
The principle of biomass pellet mill is mainly divided into four steps: crushing, compression, moulding and cooling.
Step: Crushing.
The biomass pellet machine crushes the raw materials to turn them into materials with smaller particle size for subsequent processing.
This step generally uses a wood chip machine, which crushes the raw material into small pieces by feeding it into the inside of the machine and going through the cutting and tearing action.
Step 2: Compression.
After the crushing process, the raw material is fed inside the pellet machine and is compressed to turn it into compact pellets.
This step is a step of biomass pellet machine, which needs to control the parameters such as temperature and pressure, the quality of pellets and the rate of moulding.
Step 3: Forming.
After compression treatment, the raw material-like material enters into the forming machine, and through the action of the mould, it will be turned into pellets of uniform size and regular shape.
This step requires the selection of different moulds according to different raw materials and pellet sizes, in order to the quality and forming rate of the pellets.
Step 4: Cooling.
After moulding, the pellets need to be cooled down to bring their temperature below room temperature for subsequent packaging and storage.
This step generally uses a cooling machine, by feeding the pellets into the inside of the cooling machine, after air cooling or water cooling, etc., to cool them to below room temperature.
