How Will The Feed Pellet Production Line Be Affected?

Mar 22, 2024

Among the factors that affect the quality of pellet feed, formula accounts for the largest proportion. The impact of raw material type, size, shape, and moisture on the quality of pellet feed needs to be considered. Feed raw materials that affect the quality of pellet feed can be divided into starch raw materials, protein raw materials and other raw materials. Starchy raw materials can be divided into cereals, beans, and roots and tubers according to different sources. Starch accounts for more than 65% of cereals. Corn, wheat, barley, etc. are the main sources of cereal starch. The beneficial effects of feeding cereals on the quality of pellet feed are ranked (from low to high): sorghum, corn, barley, wheat, and oats. Bean raw materials contain 35% starch, mainly peas, broad beans, mung beans, etc.

Pellet feeds with excessive fat content have low hardness, which can lead to excessive pulverization rate. Research shows that adding minerals and oils to the formula is detrimental to the quality of pellet feed and is related to the amount added. The amount of oil added during production generally does not exceed 3%. Crushing is one of the important processes in feed processing and manufacturing. 50% to 80% of the raw materials in livestock and poultry feed formulas need to be crushed before they can be used. The power consumption of crushing in feed production accounts for the entire 30%~70% of workshop electricity consumption. When you use the feed pellet production line, you must pay attention to these details.
