How To Optimize The Ruminant Feed Production Line?

Nov 04, 2024

The feed for ruminants needs to meet their special digestive system and nutritional needs. Therefore, the ruminant feed production line also needs to be optimized accordingly to improve the quality and efficiency of the feed. This article will introduce how to optimize the ruminant feed production line from the following aspects.
Raw material cleaning is the first process in feed production. The purpose is to remove impurities in the raw materials, such as stones, metals, plastics, etc., to ensure the safety and quality of the feed. Raw material cleaning can be carried out by screening, magnetic separation, wind separation and other methods, and appropriate equipment and parameters are selected according to the different characteristics of the raw materials. After the raw materials are cleaned, the raw materials should be transported to the storage bin as planned to avoid cross contamination.

Formula mixing is the process of mixing various raw materials in a certain proportion according to the different growth stages and nutritional needs of ruminants. Formula mixing needs to consider factors such as the nutritional content, physical properties, and cost of the raw materials to achieve the best formula effect. Formula mixing can be carried out by using different types of mixers, such as horizontal, vertical, and conical, and the mixing uniformity can be controlled according to parameters such as mixing time, speed, and sequence.
Pelletizing is the process of compressing the mixed feed into granules by high temperature and high pressure or low temperature and low pressure. Pelletizing can improve the density, stability, and storage resistance of the feed, reduce feed loss and pollution, and increase the feed intake and digestion utilization of ruminants. Pelletizing can be carried out by using different types of pelletizers, such as ring mode and flat mode, and appropriate pelletizing parameters can be selected according to the characteristics and requirements of the raw materials.
Cooling packaging is the process of lowering the temperature of the pelletized feed through a cooler, and then packaging and labeling it through a packaging machine. Cooling packaging can prevent the feed from deteriorating, mildewing, agglomerating, and other problems due to excessive temperature, and ensure the quality and safety of the feed.
