Crushed raw material particle size determines the surface area of the feed composition, the finer the particle size, the larger the surface area, the faster the material absorbs moisture in the steam, conducive to material conditioning, but also easy to make granulation molding. From the point of view of granulation, crushing fine, granulation strength is high, but add more steam, a little inattention is easy to plug the machine, and the raw material is crushed too fine, resulting in crushing power consumption is too high. Particle size is too coarse, increase the ring die and pressure stick wear and tear, granulation forming difficulties, especially small aperture ring die forming more difficult, and cause the material paste effect is poor, resulting in high consumption, low output, particles containing powder rate is high. Therefore, the production of livestock and poultry feed, crushed corn should be used 2.5 ~ 3.0mm sieve plate, that is, to avoid the disadvantages of particle size is too fine, but also to ensure that the feed is fully tempered by the required particle size, which is conducive to reducing the particles of the powder rate.
