Flavor Preservation: Mitigating High-Temperature Degradation Risks
The meat flavor of dog food is easily lost under the high temperatures of wet dog food maker machines, requiring process optimization to preserve it. It is recommended to use a "low-temperature extrusion + post-addition process," controlling the temperature at 80-100℃ using the wet dog food extruder machine to reduce flavor evaporation; oils, meat flavorings, and other flavor components are added after extrusion and cooling to avoid high-temperature oxidation and spoilage. Simultaneously, control the residence time of raw materials in the extruder (15-20 seconds) to prevent excessive decomposition of flavor substances and ensure palatability of the dog food.

Nutritional Balance: Synergistic Optimization of Process and Formula
Heat-sensitive nutrients (vitamins, probiotics) have a high loss rate under the high temperatures of wet pet food extruder machines, requiring targeted adjustments. For multivitamins, use coated products, increasing the addition amount by 10%-15% above the theoretical value to compensate for losses during extrusion; probiotics are added post-additionally, mixed in after extrusion and cooling, and combined with the low-temperature extrusion process to improve activity retention to over 80%. Simultaneously, by adjusting the parameters of the extruder, we ensure that proteins are fully denatured and starches are gelatinized, improving nutrient digestibility and avoiding nutrient waste.

Pellet Characteristics: Tailored to Dogs' Feeding Needs
Pellet characteristics are adjusted according to the dog's breed and age. Pellet size and length are controlled through the parameters of the wet dog food pellet machine's die and cutter: Puppy food pellets are 1-2mm in diameter and 2-3mm in length, requiring reduced extruder pressure and temperature to make the pellets loose and easily digestible; adult dog food pellets are 3-5mm in diameter and 4-6mm in length, requiring increased pressure to enhance hardness and meet chewing needs. Pellet uniformity is also controlled, with an error not exceeding ±0.2mm, to avoid inconsistent sizes affecting feed intake. A vibrating screen is used to screen out substandard pellets, ensuring consistent quality.
