Disc chippers are divided into three types: ordinary chippers (4~6 knives), multi-knife chippers (8~12 knives) and spiral chippers. There are two feeding methods for these three chippers: oblique feeding and flat feeding (or horizontal feeding). It is mainly composed of a machine base, a feed port, a knife disc, a machine housing, a chipping blade and an electric control. The machine can adjust the chipping blade according to needs to produce wood chips of different specifications and thicknesses.
The wood is fed in from the feed port. When the wood contacts the chipping blade, it is chipped with the high-speed rotation of the chipping disc. The chipped wood chips are sent out in the chipping chamber by the high-speed air flow generated by the fan blades on the chipping disc.
The wood chipper is a special equipment for producing wood chips. The wood chips produced are widely used in papermaking, particleboard, medium-density fiberboard, etc. The main raw material is logs.
